  3. A National Duolian resonator guitar, or with a conical resonator. Yes, and generally played with a solid steel, although a bottle neck steel is good as well. That’s what seems to be sitting on the chair since a solid steel most often has a rounded nose. I agree that at this time, Jerry Douglas is probably the most noted player and I love his style of playing.

Family friend got the missing number three dobro at a yard sale, wife/widow was selling everything, when he found out how much it was worth, went back and gave the lady $30,000, it was valued at 90 large. Beautiful metal craft work, used brass in combo with steel, lot of work to make one. Mark Knophler performed some truly great riffs on his, like for Romeo and Juliet and Telegraph Road.
