I have read that the wing generated 650-750lbs downforce in the wind tunnel depending on wind speed and angle-of-attack. Underneath the mounting points on the rear quarters a pair of braces transferred the downforce to the rear subframe. Al_in_Ottawa
One of these in "Richard Petty Blue" was the first thing I saw when I reached my exit to Cocoa Beach, FL back in Dec. of 1979. It was driven by a woman about 35 to 40 years old, and the sight of her driving that car made me know I was going to enjoy living in Florida.
