There's snowpacks, and then there is a well and true, honest to goodness, bad ass snowpack

This morning's view from Sentinel Dome in Yosemite.  Snow is looking much better, but is that a pack?  The kind that can water up a thirsty aquifer?

Nope, because as good as it looks, this is what a manly, testosterone filled, in your face, snowpack looks like.
