And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Seems like this might be a good thing for under the Christmas tree.
I am a big book person and never wanted an e-reader, but my daughter and SIL got me a Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas two years ago. I really love that thing. I read more now than ever and that's saying a lot...............
x3. My sis got me a Kindle last year when I was laid up for a while, and it is a great little gadget for reading. It's just amazing to me that you can order a book and have it on the Kindle in minutes.
I have a Kindle fire and I use it at least several hours every day. However, as an old fat white guy, I'm not too impressed by the use of a bearded hipster in women's Capri pants and a polka dot shirt as their model. As least his cap is on in the right direction.
Sounds good to me, too- but I hope y'all are backing up the books you buy for your Kindles.
I remember some time ago when some copyright issue came up, which resulted in users having '1984' the book vanish from their devices. I'm sure Amazon refunded their purchase, but I don't like the idea of them being able to "disappear" things I've purchased without my permission! Doubleplus-Ungood!
(I use the Kindle app on my Android phone & tablet, it works great! Would like an actual Kindle, though... maybe Santa will bring me one!)
