And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Once that gets rolling, I'd wager safely that the brakes are not going to be up to the job of stopping.
My Granddad bought a brand new Studebaker. He owned a feed store, and overloaded the trunk with bags of grain. Broke the rear springs, and ever after the car "aimed at the sky." I was just a kid, and couldn't see over the hood; Gramps sat up very straight & tall, so he could see the road!
Surprised that truck hasn't suffered the same fate... yet!
