Sleek and lethal

  1. I want to say, F-106, however didn't the intakes on that bad boy lay much closer to the fuselage?

  2. There are so many beautiful fighters from the postwar years. When I was a kid I built dozens of them- Monogram when possible, Revell when necessary.

I also had a wooden lobby model of the B 25J in my bedroom. Dad grabbed it from NAA when he worked there. It had a 5' wingspan, turrets rotated, and the props spun on ball bearings.
It was mounted on a big steel tripod, fuselage about five feet off the floor. Dominated the bedroom for many years.
    It was gorgeous.

    Mom hated that thing.
