And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
There are so many beautiful fighters from the postwar years. When I was a kid I built dozens of them- Monogram when possible, Revell when necessary.
I also had a wooden lobby model of the B 25J in my bedroom. Dad grabbed it from NAA when he worked there. It had a 5' wingspan, turrets rotated, and the props spun on ball bearings. It was mounted on a big steel tripod, fuselage about five feet off the floor. Dominated the bedroom for many years. It was gorgeous.
I want to say, F-106, however didn't the intakes on that bad boy lay much closer to the fuselage?
