This guy is the former mayor of Charlotte, a major city, and he was just told by a federal judge that, as a convicted felon, he had lost the right to vote. But no matter, off he went to vote anyway, on camera and with bold pride in his crime. Enjoy your well deserved stay in jail, jackass.
"Two weeks after he lost his right to vote, former Charlotte mayor and convicted felon Patrick Cannon apparently cast a ballot."
"That vote would violate Cannon’s bond and could put him back before a judge, said Greg Forrest, chief of the U.S. Probation Office in Charlotte."
"It may even mean the 47-year-old Democrat goes to prison sooner."
“Let’s cut to the chase: He shouldn’t have done that, and we’re going to talk to him tomorrow (Wednesday),” Forrest told the Observer."
"Forrest said he will also report the violation to U.S. District Court Judge Frank Whitney, who on Oct. 14 sentenced Cannon to 44 months in prison."
He goes to prison sooner, and his little performance still didn't help Kay Hagen! Lose/lose.

That law varies from state to state...in Texas, one cannot vote if on probation for a felony, but when time is over, then the felon can vote. A felon in Texas cannot ever serve on a jury...or purchase a firearm, or be in possession of ammunition
ReplyDeleteThe Democrats need to register prisoners to vote in every prison. When has the law stood in their way?
