Gigantic sunspot 1944 turns to face the Earth.

The largest of the dark areas could fit three Earths.  Further, giant sunspot AR1944 has a 'beta-gamma-delta' magnetic field that harbors energy for potent Earth-directed eruptions. NOAA forecasters estimate a 75% chance of M-class flares and a 30% chance of X-flareson Jan. 6th.

I say, let the spot flare!  There has been mighty few sunspots of any kind lately, so it's time for some solar energy.  We could use the heat here on Earth.
