An incredible string of events, which even now continue, and which lead me to fear for not only our overseas people, but for the freedoms we should consider sacrosanct here at home.
1. Holder and his Feds id California man's role in the making of the film that has apparently set the muslim world into a fury of hate and violence. They are at least attempting intimidation, and perhaps prosecution, having forgotten about the first amendment rights he enjoys.
2. Marines "guarding" the Cairo embassy were not allowed, by order of the ambassador herself, to carry live ammo. What good is a Marine if you have taken away his weapons? This in and of itself should result in the immediate recall of this person.
3. After acting confused for several days, the administration finally decides that Egypt is in fact an ally.
4. Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey calls crazy Florida pastor to ask him not to support the film that is enraging the muslim world. Nothing like getting a phone call from the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs to bolster your credibility. If you believe that the general did this on his own, you need to think again. Further, he took an oath to uphold the constitution, which includes the right to free speech, so he should have flat out refused whoever it was that put him up to it. Amazing that head generals are phoning crazy pastors to plead with them to shut up. What country do we live in, again?
5. For a week before the riots in Benghazi and Cairo, Obama blew off his daily intelligence briefing, and did it again the next day, instead spending his time on campaign events and fund raisers.
