How would you like to come out of the kitchen to find this waiting for you?

Around 1 p.m., dispatchers received calls of a sandy-coated pair traveling down Munger Mountain and getting into the house close to Old Henry’s Road.

“They walked right through the heart of Hog Island and crossed right up on the road,” Sgt. Matt Carr said.

The bears crashed through a screen door, apparently in search of food.

One resident fled to a bathroom to call for help while her husband locked himself and their pets in the garage.

Wyoming Game and Fish soon arrived to tranquilize the sow and trap the cub. Their fate was uncertain at press time.
