Looked like maybe a dummy round that turned into a blank round midflight - crimped end. As many of us know a blank does not have enough powder to make a real 'bang' and not nearly enough to cycle the bolt without a BFA. It's most likely a prop gun of some sort.............
Agree that it is a crimped blank. They start out at almost the full length of a live round so that they function properly and then only open up 1/2 to 3/4 of the way when fired. It would look exactly like it is being shown.
Because it is a blank?
ReplyDeleteMaybe, but wouldn't a blank have no bullet at all, and be just packed with a plug? I dunno, it just looked odd to me.
