According to Doppler radar, the rain is only a few minutes away, and I noticed several preliminary sprinkles a few minutes ago when I was out gathering a bit of firewood.
Now, the fire is going well, the family is watching some Robinson Crusoe program on TV, and I have a glass of wine. A large loaf of Shepherd's bread is rising in the oven, and in a couple of hours or so it will be baked and ready to eat. The dogs are curled up on the rug in front of everybody, and the wife hasn't noticed yet, but Sergei the Pound Cat is curled up sleeping in some laundry that she folded but hasn't put away yet.
Life is good.
