Over at Instapundit, there is an article citing anecdotal stories about folks getting back at companies that advertise with frothing at the mouth crazy liberal shows or websites by cancelling their subscriptions to things like HBO and Carbonite. I see a similar thread over at Legal Insurrection. They are simply learning from the no holds barred liberal playbook.

After all, what's good for the goose is good for the gander!

What companies who are in business to make a profit don't seem to realize is that conservatives outnumber liberals by a ratio of two to one, according to this Gallup study done last August, and that ratio probably has increased further in favor of conservatives after another six months of very public Obama fail.

So if the culture wars are going to go to the next level of battle, and people are going to intentionally punish companies that publically support one political ideology or another, why would a company like Ford, for example, want to advertise with Gawker, when liberals are not only heavily outnumbered in the population, but also probably favor foriegn automakers by huge margins even without the political considerations??

Folks, it's up to us in the Brietbartosphere to open their eyes to the silliness of the way they spend their advertising dollar. Again using Ford as an example, here is their customer relations page, and an email from each of us pointing out the foolishness of the above might just open some minds over there.  Find a new company and do one every day.  It will only take about five minutes of your day, and you know that Andrew would be proud.  I have already sent mine.
