The world's largest airship - the flying bum - is ready for liftoff over in merry old England

The world's largest aircraft has been unveiled for the first time since being fully assembled in the UK.

The 302ft (92m) long Airlander 10 - part plane, part airship - was floated in a First World War hangar in Bedfordshire.

Photographers struggled to capture the whole length of the aircraft, which is around 50ft (15m) longer than the biggest passenger jets, ahead of its inaugural flight later this year.

Photographers may have struggled, but photoshoppers didn't.  The SS Kardashian, perhaps?

Another poll goes horribly, horribly wrong

When scientists in the U.K. asked the public to name their new $290 million polar research ship, they expected the name of an explorer such as Sir Ernest Shackleton or a naturalist like David Attenborough to eventually be emblazoned across the vessel's bow. 

However, they didn't factor in the Brits' oddball sense of humor.

'Boaty McBoatface' Dominates Poll to Name Polar Research Ship

By Monday morning, "RRS Boaty McBoatface" had almost 10 times the votes of any other name.
