And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
In Kailua-Kona on the big island of Hawaii there are companies that will take you out into the bay to snorkel with the Manta Rays. You go out at dusk and they set up floating rafts with LED lighting which attracts the plankton that the ray’s eat. The rays come to the rafts making barrel rolls scooping up the plankton.
Back in 1967, while on a US Navy Landing Ship Dock (LSD) ship off the coast of Camp Pendleton in California, getting ready to perform in a practice "wet landing" with the 5th Tank Battalion, I saw perhaps 500 or so stingrays swimming south along the coast. I guess that they were migrating.
