  1. Every day the ground crew come out and paint the destination on the plane.
The pilot, often with his mind on his new bride, sometimes has to open his side window and lean out, just to remind himself of where he is supposed to be going.
This habit leads to his hairstyle always being a bit rakish, giving him a 'devil may care' look, when really he is a careful and conscientious pilot, belying his nickname of 'Hurry Home Henry'.

  2. C-97 in commercial service. Maybe the Air Force sold it to them, maybe it was built for the airline.

    1. OK, probably fresh built.
"The Boeing 377, also called the Stratocruiser, was a large long-range airliner built after World War II. It was developed from the C-97 Stratofreighter."
