  1. Hard to fathom, when those pumps ran, fuel was what, 15 cents, maybe 20 cents a gallon, and if from the picture all this guy sold was gasoline and oil, maybe sundries, he made a living off it?
I remember fuel at 30-35 cents a gallon, 20 cents got you a matinée ticket to a John Wayne or James Bond flick, 20 cents to ride into Boston on the green line, a loaf of bread was 35 cents, pack of Luckies 35, I seen it, and now, its really truly like hard to grok. WTF happened to us, because how I know, hard to say, but none of what been passed since that economy was anything but pure unadulterated effin' greed designed to totally rip us all off of every penny of our inherent hard earned wealth. Not money, but real wealth, where the only source of wealth can be produced, hard workin'. Grease of the elbow sweat of the brow treasure from one's mind transformed, into the one thing tangible. We live in s world run anf controlled by nothing else but crooks snd thieves, an empire, a global consortium that spans every acre foot of Mother Earth, pretty darn amazing its come to this, and how they are all fighting over the last bits of treasure to the point they are startin' to threat each other with bombs of mass destruction. These clowns do not give a flyin' effin' bleep about us, cuse they stole just about everything most of us got that ain't nailed down by owning property outright, everything else is usury, or wage slavery, can't even go from digging coal to learn to code cause their steenkin' ai got that covered.
Its really a mad mad mad world, (saw that great movie for 20 cents when it came out, can hardly grasp that world now, ain't complaining either, just kinda saying thats all, waiting, got me Rifle and kit just in case, but a Ragnarock looks awful close).
