And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Watched a vid last night about German U-boats in WWI & II and how they sunk passenger ships carrying women and children. Yet no U-boat commanders were executed for murder after the wars.
Yeah, right! Worked with a guy, 16 years in those things, till he SLIPPED, fell and broke his BACK. Medical discharge after a year or so of therapy, he was never able to function at a normal level again.
