Too close to the creek but ok

  1. Just a WAG, but I'm guessing that by the apparent age of that house that it has gone through whatever that creek does to it. Unless that creek used to be far to the left of the edge of the picture.

  2. I'd certainly clear out that rock dam, so the flowing water had less of a chance to back up and flood.

    1. Rocks form a deeper spot that the trout rest in. And the guy setting on the porch can toss a line at.
      Then the missus can cook it for supper.

    2. And rocks form a barrier that the water backs up and a flood goes into the house.

  3. You can build right on the creek if it's close to the originating spring. Floods are minute.
