And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Taking a minute to warm up. Reminds me just a little bit of the country near Riggins, Idaho.
Idaho doesn't require orange, and haven't seen anybody even use the camo version. We have a hunting camp in that area, and this doesn't look quite right to me. My money is on somewhere in Montana or Washington.
I have what I think is that same orange camo vest. Mine is a fleece vest with a large back pocket that I bought at Cabelas a couple'o decades ago.
My son and I hunt on public lands here in Arizona and I don't mind wearing all kinds of orange. I want every human within rifle range to be able to see us.
Have hunted for decades across the US and Canada, and stopping in the middle of a hunt to make a fire is something I have never done. At camp, yes, but never out in the field in the middle of a hunt. I don’t even think this guy is getting ready to make camp as he doesn’t appear to have enough gear in that pack to make that happen. If he’s cold, maybe better gear, another layer, thicker gloves or at least a warm hat (hunting in the snow in a ventilated ball cap?). Either a fool, or staged.
Do you see the antlers that are attached to his backpack? He is done for the day. He has already got his deer. He has stored what meat he wanted inside his backpack.

ReplyDeleteYou and your experience may differ from that of others, Because you have never done it doesn't make it incorrect.
