Serac Fall on Mt Cook

  1. Pile of rock and rubble move from high potential energy location to low potential e energy location. Over time the peaks will fill the valleys. Great that there was a camera there to record the event.

  2. A new word. Serac, from the Swiss for a type of white cheese. Glaciology borrowed the term to describe ice formations which resemble the cheese.

The etymology of words can be very interesting at times.
