And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Have 2 Edison. What I cram in my cargo pants pockets and on my belt and a get home bag. My smallest backpack that my older brother calls my purse. Toilet paper, extra layer, life strawberry, bigger knife, fire capabilities and a 4 way tool that opens exterior faucets on commercial or businesses if I need water
Really respect and try to remain true to an axiom my BoyScout troop leader tried to teach us; "To be a Man who has not forgot what a Knife a Rifle and a Shovel is good for. I do believe he grasped where the world was heading in the mid 60's. For me the single best item on that list is the axe, yah its really excellent to have a good knife yet if you give it a hard arse think the axe is indispensable for real world extreme situation. Heat and shelter of minimal quality is at hand in reasonable time in forested areas, no other bladed device can compare, the exception close enough is the big arse blade 12inch minimum blade "camp knife". I carried both numerous occasion's, (learned to forge snd make sheaths in the early 80's, because at that time wasn't a lot of choices out there), the camp knife while good compared to the raw power a human can impose the axe is supreme, and a proper cutting edged axe blade can do delicate work. I'd say because thru experiences a shovel thats military rugged like the Russian non folding and true vintage WWII/Korean conflict, one can mod them with a pretty decent cutting edge, due to back them they are very good medium carbon steel, hardened and tempered. ( Cold Steel's Spetznaz shovel is a decent reproduction. Thru time I found a good shovel is pretty darn instrument.
ps, that colonial era repro flint and steel is 2nd on the short list is forced to choose the minimalist equipment, those babies produce excellent fire starting sparks in quantity, virtually last forever.
A disposable (non-sharpen able) bow saw blade without the bow frame is interesting. I've done the springy branch handle thing, doesn't work that well compared to the steel frame designed for it.
Where is the pistol and spare magazine ? None of that in jolly old Europe. I guess the police are in the EDC instead. They are only "minutes away". Luck with that.
Life looks to have gotten tough in Stockholm!
