    Last 2 wheeler I owned was in the 70's and there were no wires in the left one.

  4. What's more worrying hand grip coming away or wasting time getting a phone/camera out to take a picture? Not sure this is a genuine situation.

On our older motorcycles and snowmobiles, the handgrips were typically made to stay in place by the use of tape and then some adhesive (that way you can remove and replace (with aftermarket, personal preference, style, etc.). But in this photograph, it appears as though the whole left side handlebar broke completely off. I am guessing that the motorcycle somehow fell over. And that he is just unhappy that it could not withstand it.
