  1. Very nice. I wish Jeep still made them like that. Current models really suck.

  2. I can almost hear the "~clunk~" on a tight turn into a parking spot. They had their issues.

    1. Memories are unreliable and often the old stuff was not that good but the memories of the times see us ignore the realities. I'm a sucker for falling into that trap except in respect of my first wife - she remains awful no matter how much time passes.

    2. So does my ex; she goes out of her way to remind me of that.

  3. The current model of ANYTHING sux. I'm not that old (well hell, maybe I am) but I detest what 'technology' has done to the automotive industry. Buy shares of manufacturers of self-driving cars. The wave of the future is more time to play with your hand-held device and self drivers offer just that.

    1. Most of the new technology developed because of the stupid CAFE standards is a solution in search of a problem.
AFM and Direct-Injection in a gas engine for example.

  6. It has a Per-ner-del! Per Lisa Douglas on "Green Acres", when she was learning to drive. You know, P-R-N-D-L.

  7. Great truck. They all sadly rusted out up in NH. Not many on the road. Still a classy piece.

  8. Valve covers match the upholstery.
