And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Absolutely. Was built by Christians, not muslims. But they don't like to let anyone know.
And now, due to lack of maintenance and their inability (and/or unwillingness to fix anything (most of their infrastructure is made by westerners) it is decaying to ruin slowly.
I have visited the Hagia Sophia. Stunningly beautiful. Now a museum to Islam’s conquest of Eastern Christendom. What was once the crown jewel of Christian civilization now stands as a reminder that history is often written not by truth, but by those who prevail.
Kinda ratty. Must have been taken over by islamics. They take from the civilized and capable and then run it into the ground. Typical, they destroy anything civilized whenever they can, no matter what the cost...
