And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Every time I see a pic like that, my first thought is how the hell do you physically eat something like that? There's no mouth that can open big enough to fit that in. You can't eat it like a sandwich. Nope. I'd need a whole nother loaf of bread in order to spread that meat out into proper sandwiches, at which point there'd be enough to feed a dozen people.
That's the whole point of modern day restaurants. When you buy a meal it is way too expensive and way too much food. So everyone gets a box for the leftovers and it again later.
You don't buy a meal, you buy a meal with a box of leftovers. My wife and I order from the appetizer menu and don't bring boxes home that end up in the landfill. But we only eat out once or twice a year at most.
I'm in agreement absurd to make. Also the TV show man vs food why do we need to have a show about eating 4000 calories. Been to Walmart lately I seen the results of that.
Yesterday for supper three of us finished left over take out pastrami from a Bar-B-Q joint where I purchased a pound and a half of sliced pastrami, burnt ends, sides, and brisket for supper on Thursday. The three sandwiches were on rye bread with mustard with the pastrami. Wonderful, sensible (unlike the photo), and filling.
That's what I'd call a Dagwood.
