  1. Obviously Helldivers from before the war. During WW2 they had single wings.

  3. I still can't figure why a biplane doesn't have twice as much lift as a single wing.

    1. It has to do with the low pressure above the bottom wing and the high pressure below the top wing interfering with each other. This reduces the efficiency of both wings and the faster you go the worse it gets. The BeechCraft Staggerwing was designed to reduce the interference between wings by separating them vertically and longitudinally.
