And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Heed all of the yellow stickers. You CAN cut through the back fence if they're not out of the way. Ask me how I know. My first one lasted 15yrs of near daily use. The second one is on it's 5th year, cutting everything from aluminum through to 6x6's (with a bit of hand sawing after the hard work is done). That you can get all the extra parts, or internal parts makes these nearly a lifetime purchase.
Not a fan of the saws with the moving rails. I have a very small shop, so anything that takes up excess space is unwelcome. When/if I get another SCMC, it'll be one with fixed rails.
Still trying to wear out the one I bought over 15 years ago. Like the other man said, I have cut everything from aluminium to 6 x 16 beams. The beams took a lot of repositioning, but it worked out.
Built my deck with this exact miter saw, I can recommend if you’re in the market.

ReplyDeleteProbably the most popular CMS over the past 20 years. I don't have one but my brother does and I've used it a lot.

ReplyDeleteI bought this exact saw (with the rolling stand) a month ago. And I love it. That shadow line blows the laser line away.
