And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
They do still make them. I got an eTrex 22 and also a 32 a few years ago. It's probably almost the same as what you got long ago but it works and works well, so long as you don't mind a small display that can be slow to update. But very functional especially once you learn to customize the display options to what your needs are
I really love mine. It saved my butt a few years ago. Out on a cross country run on the snowmobile when the clouds came in on us. The only way we could navigate back to the more established trail was to zoom the screen in and follow the plotted course. Visibility was about 10'.
They still make the eTrex? Actually a nice little unit, have one I got for my wife close to 15 years ago, not a color screen, but still works great.
