And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? What has bothered me about that movie is the lack of recoil from the guns. 400 grains at 1400 fps thump the shoulder. I know it was a movie and they were probably just primers, not even blanks being fired. Same goes for the revolvers. But it still bugs me.
Outstanding film...outstanding portrayal of a Colour Sergeant.
ReplyDeleteYep - a stellar portrayal by Nigel Green, hard to think of anyone else who did better although others can probably suggest a few.
