Ford Bronco. Another classic that calls out for a modern redesign based on the original idea of a simple, open off road vehicle. It has worked for Jeep for decades, and this is arguably a better approach. The challenge is to keep the overall design simple, I believe, and to avoid larding the machine up with luxuries that just up the price and make it no better of an off road driver.
How many could Ford sell if they started with a basic model, with a modern engine, but with a clean and functional design? If the cost could be kept low in this way, but the vehicle made reliable, with a reasonable ride both on the freeway and off road, one would think the company would have a winner.
A modern version of this would be hard to resist indeed!
I love those trucks...I had 3 of them in my youth and just last year I found this one.
