The Martian moon Phobos, as photographed from the Martian Express spacecraft.  This moon orbits the red planet very close to the surface.  In fact, it's orbit is continually decaying to the extent that it will break up and plummet to the surface in about 50 million years. Based on the way it looks, scientists believe it is probably an asteroid that was captured at some point by Mars.
