  2. Brighid. A grinder will destroy the temper of any good blade by heating it, and should NEVER be used in any way on ANY blade of ANY kind. The same will happen with ANY power tool used in any way on any blade.

    2. I agree Anon, I should have specified an old fashioned grindstone.

    3. A lot of work. Soaking it in a bucket of Apple Cider Vinegar for 24 hours would have gotten rid of all the rust without any elbow grease involved. Then you could work on the finish and the edge.
