Golfers illegally frisked without warning when Obama decided to golf at Martha's Vineyard club.

Regulars at the Vineyard Golf Club in Martha’s Vineyard were gobsmacked when President Obama unexpectedly strolled onto a nearby green and they were immediately frisked. “There was no warning he was coming,” sniffed a guest.
“There was security on the way in, but no word as to why they were there.” The member added, “While eating, overlooking the golf course, guests had to stand up and be wanded.” One asked if he could finish his hot soup first, and an Obama security man cracked, ominously, “So, you’re not cooperating?”

As Glen Reynolds points out, they actually can't force you to endure such an indignity if you don't consent to it.  Glen wonders:
How come nobody ever tells them to buzz off, and that if the President wants to play golf he can damn well respect the rights of others? The response to the ominous “So, you’re not cooperating?” should be “No, are you assaulting me?”
If the President wants to go out in public, fine. If he can’t do it without assaulting the rights of citizens, then he should stay home.

  1. I would finish my soup. The HMFIC is not worth giving up one spoon full. I guess that the SS could arrest me. Who cares? Take that to court.

    1. As long as you go in front of a jury of your peers, you have nothing to fear when they, inevitably, haul you off after throwing you to the ground very very hard and jumping on you and then locking your hands up behind your back while kneeling on your neck, just so you understand that they regard you with about as much respect as they would give a cockroach.
