Over at this site there is a contest going on in Saskatchewan (a Canadian prairie province) over who has the best picture of some piece of machinery stuck in the prairie goop. Go and vote, and play this song while you are doing it.

This one is my favorite. Ouch!

Big but beautiful. Gullivette. "Ooh, this one looks tasty!"
The 14 year old is still bored. Don't let him near the computer when he is in that condition. Size 15 shoes = Squatch = Sasquatch = bigfoot.

Very pleasing in an odd way. Use the pause button to freeze random pictures.

Found it here.

Watch this dude own the hurdles! Next stop, the Olympics.

The unemployment rate in my favorite state, Nevada, is now at an astronomical 14.3%.

It seems to me that the political leaders in Nevada should take drastic action to bring jobs back. Changing the laws to make the state the most business friendly in the nation, and then professionally and aggressively marketing that to business, should be done right now. What they are currently doing obviously isn't working, and with pundits now saying that an 8% national unemployment rate might be the new norm, serious changes need to occur.

Will they? Probably not. Where indeed is Nevada's Doug Christie?

British hating American President Obama and his party hardy wife NOT invited to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

I guess all those snubs have been noted across the pond.

I found this on Ace of Spades, and it is just too funny. Just before the AK explodes, you can see a funny flash at the receiver, which suggests some sort of problem has developed. The Jihadi, in the midst of having fun slaughtering imaginary infidels, never thinks to stop and check the gun, and perhaps pays for it by losing a few fingers. Allahu not too akbar.
My kid produced this due to boredom. Nice. I saw that expression all the time when he was that age (he is 14 now and almost six feet tall).
A guy who lives in Ontario Canada posted this picture over at ExpeditionPortal of what he saw when he opened his front door after the big blizzard. Dang. I like how the door left an impression in the snow that drifted up against it.

Every year, the Calgary Hitmen hockey team sponsors a charity event at a game, where the fans throw stuffed animals onto the ice after the first goal. The animals are then gathered and donated to charity. Here is what it looks like when 23,096 stuffed animals rain down on a hockey rink.

This guy and his talent is just plain cool. I'd hate to be a misbehaving grandchild, cause you know what would happen.
