I've been using this model for over eight years. Still eating weeds.

  1. I've had the 18v Ryobi version for about 15 years.
    Handy for small chores.

  2. I've never had a B&D tool that lasted over 3 years. My Ryobi 18v is going on 8 years.

  3. The house we bought had a gas powered string trimmer, I did the gas can-mix the oil, 2 stroke thing that first year. The second year I decided I needed fresh fuel and wondered about what to do with all that from last year that I didn't need.
After a little thought I bought a Ryobi 18v trimmer instead. It does the job, the battery fits my other tools and I don't have to mess with 2 stroke gas at all.
If your B&D tool is doing the job it's doing the job!
