The Glaive of the body guard of the Duke of Mantua and Montferrato, from about 1575.

Looks like it would intimidate the Duke's enemies pretty well, or at least the local banditti.

The little curlicue on the back of the blade is unique.  I wonder what today's bladesmiths would have to say about it.
