    1. why are they a part of this heavy push to switch our country over to the metric system?
    2. if they're going to push hard, why give the weight in kilograms and the dimensions in inches?

    1. To each their purpose. I also have the Estwing camp axe and hatchet, but if I found myself in a car jacking - melee situation, this tomahawk would be a better option for self defense. Right now, I carry the Cold Steel Spetnatz shovel in truck, far easier to explain its purpose if found by LEOs.

  4. Get yourself a hammer holster and wear it on your belt when going out. Perps will find an alternative victim.

  5. Being totally disabled, I carry a sword cane purchased from the Cold Steel web site.

Back when I could still walk and carry my backpack for hiking and camping, I liked my combination of an Army entrenching tool and a saw-toothed machete in a self-sharpening scabbard for gathering firewood.

That thing couldn't cut warm butter.
Unless the goal is to tenderize someone, rather than actually lacerate them.
