And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A sister had a bridge like that in Big Sur, CA. A river cut through the property, and you took the bridge to get from the parking area to the other side where the house was. Water depth would go from inches to 20+feet during a rain storm.
Don't skimp on maintenance. And roller skates might be fun.

ReplyDeleteSis's bridge was the only affordable way to bridge it, due to the laws that forbid any changes in the waterway itself. (f'n CA!)
