And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
As bad as that is it's actually worse. By convention the Roman Numeral for 4 on clocks is IIII to keep it from being confused with VI for six which is at 12:00 in this picture. Maybe she's in Australia!
Last year a woman clerk helping me had four sets of Roman numerals tattooed on her forearms. I asked. She said they are the birth days of her children.
I told her that two of her children are older than she. She was disbelieving until she consulted the goracle on her phone.
So, at least six adults had no idea of the mistake.
Took a sec to get it...

ReplyDeleteSomething is still wrong. Even if you hang it in the proper orientation the numerals are still upside down.
ReplyDeleteThe 12 would be correct, and the bottoms of all the numbers would face the center of the clock. Probably intended to be that way.
DeleteThe VI and VII are out of place.
DeleteMaybe not, it's hard to read...
DeleteYou put the "XII" where it belongs and everything else is fine.

ReplyDeleteIf you really want to confuse her, try military time.
DeleteMirror folks,
ReplyDeleteNo. Just rotate 180 degrees and the 3 and 9 are in the proper positions, not reversed.
