  4. The Savage M1907 was built for several countries and used in WWI as military sidearms

  5. They didn't make that many of these...and most left the country. They are now essentially unobtainium.

    1. Savage produced 235,000 model 1907 pistols1. The “Model 1907” was introduced in .32 ACP in 1908, and first year production was about 2,000 guns. In 1911 alone, they sold 20,000 guns. Total production figures topped out in 1920 at about 208,800, with an additional 9,845 in .380 ACP models2. Some 259,000 1907s were eventually produced between 1908 and 1920, making it one of the most popular guns of its day.
