  2. Forwards, backwards, upside down, on top, or underneath, I wouldn't care.. I'd just be happy to be there.

  6. So, help me out here - on the few occasions when I’ve worn a “cowboy” hat I knew which way to put it on because the little tied ribbon in the sweat band was supposed to go in the back. A hat which starts with a flat, round brim . . . I suppose the owner can shape the brim and the crown as he pleases. So how can you look at somebody else’s hat and tell that it’s on backward? Inquiring minds . . .

    1. Crown folds are either equal front to back or slightly forward. I have never seen the the folds at the back but you are right, it can be made that way. Just never have seen it. Been wearing them for over 65 years. Straw summers felt winters. Lost a few to the wimmins.................

    2. Ahem....(raises hand from the back row)....That's the way "they" are wearin' 'em now. The front rim is shaped wider than the back. I know, I know stoopid but hey, when the Austin gyrls get all doey-eyed while looking at you....well, hm.......

  7. Who cares if the hat's on backwards or that she may have on a bit too much makeup? She's stunningly beautiful...

  10. It's like bodywork on a vehicle: if you can see it, it's not done right!
