And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
One of my daughters hiked to the Devil's Tongue rock in Norway. What the picture of the tent overlooking the fiord doesn't show is the line of people, up to 100 yards long, waiting their turn for a picture.
My first was a 67 Kaiser CJ5. 8 gallon tank under the drivers' seat, 8 miles per gallon on a good day (and it had a Warn aftermarket OD), Warn PTO winch, 3 speed, no power anything. LOVED it. Bought it from my cousin for $500 in 1983, sold it in 1987 for $1500 and wish I still had it.
Love my 2004 TJ, but it's just not the same vibe. I keep my Tundra for reliability, the Jeep for funsies.
locations would be nice so i can add to my bucket list
ReplyDeleteSometime google lens can find them, often another viewer knows too.
DeleteGo find them. That's the idea and the thrill of exploring. If you want location handed to you, book a cruise.
DeleteLocations - too much work to add to in my opinion. Just appreciate them now for what they are - amazing photos to enrich the mind. Thanks CW.
ReplyDeleteThat right there. Enjoy the view. Use your mind. Travel anywhere.
DeleteOne of my favorite things about Fridays- seeing these compilations.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures as always
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! Another Friday spectacular! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe one photo of the tent on the rock outcropping made my stomach do flip-flops.
Not a sleep walker I take it.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one with the dog.

ReplyDeleteJust glad it's Friday and a open road series to dream about
ReplyDeleteMy traveling bone always gets tickled when I come here. I should throw a suitcase in the trunk and go somewhere before the snow starts flying.
ReplyDeleteThe Grand Canyon is always worth the trip!
DeleteThat Jeep pic just speaks to me.
