  1. Could have used these when I was commuting on the bike to the train station. Couple of times got back to the station at end of day and found some moron had chained their bike to the rack through mine.
Had to walk home and come back in the car with the big bolt cutters.
Interestingly enough, the parking booth attendant just watched me as I drove up, got out and cut the chain, put the bike on the rack and drove off.

  2. knipex are quality tools. put a smaller pair of their channel lock style plier in your glove box for the hell of it.

  3. Got 18 years now on their 10 inch Pliers Wrench's, fantastic holding power and super controllable pressure for delicate work, the jaws are super parallel to each-other, but where they really shine is doing precise sheetmetal forming work, really excellent product, top shelf. Countless uses for welding/fabrication.

  4. Tools like this are the reason that I hate using compact bolts.

  6. Always try to buy American but make an exception for Knipex. Have a pair of snap ring pliers that are a must for cracking open the front hubs on a ford super duty. Have no idea how they make the two little nubs strong enough to withstand the force needed to open the tension on that ring but they work every time. Those Germans still have some great metallurgical skills.
