  2. Made of alloy steel. But which alloy? I think that important for this style of crampon.
    The boot buttons have me wondering about the durability of that system.
    I think I'll stick with traditional.

  5. A great thing if you have to walk on ice! (FWIW, I moved & left mine behind :-)
    But that looks like a lot of money for what you're getting, I'd shop around.

  6. These are the absolute best traction devices I have ever used, by far. On the glare ice we get in parking lots, on trails, sidewalks, etc. (in AK), these give dependable traction with every step. They are expensive, yes-and worth it. And long-lasting, as well; I have three pairs, of different sizes for different footwear, that are all ten years old and working great.
