  2. Grandpa flew an old Jenny bi-plane when he was in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He flew reconnaissance. Back in the day, an automobile was still a somewhat new oddity and grandpa used to tell us he knew how to fly a plane before he knew how to drive a car. I was gifted his wings and camera and some old photographs of him and his work after I joined the military.
