And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Had one of those back in the 60's. Good basic iron but I was in school and couldn't do anything with it and had to let it go. Mine was a '52, obviously older than that one but compare to the Fords and Chevys of the day.
My Dad said an early 50's Stud pickup could smell a hill coming a half a mile away with a load on....I guess those 85 horses were just enough to get er' rollin'....good looking trucks, though....would be great with a hopped up 350 chevy engine....
I live in NW Indy and you still see some of these around.A lot of the old timers still feel that if Studies stayed with just trucks that they'd just might still be in business today. Anyway nice 3/4 in the photo
They bet on the cars, which were an overall loser (Avanti aside?) - and it was South Bend David versus Detroit Goliath. I started at school there the year after they and Bendix shut down - definitive and immediate rust belt. Sad.
