Agreed. Plus, nobody's on the foredeck to catch it (or at least keep it out of the water). AND, there's another jib waiting to be set. Does look Dutch (very broad beam, presumably shallow draft. What would you call this thing? Three masted schooner, main (and presumably mizzen) GAFF-rigged? (another sign of a Nederland boat) Or is it a three-masted CUTTER because of the forejib on a sprit?
He is setting it, in Holland we call these boats klippers because of the bow shape, most of these traditional freight boats have a more rounded bow. All of them have flat bottoms for shallow draught and drying out plus rounded liftable "swords" to counter side drift while sailing.
Since he's alone, the rest of the sails are drawing fully and NO Reef Points are being used I'd say setting the jib.
