And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Its so other drivers don't bang their doors into the paintwork. I 'mis-park' myself a fair bit, my Italian car worth more to me than 7 puppies, but most often I just park way away on the far side of the car park and do the walking thing to the store.

I was an American Airlines Captain. We landed our 757 at Dulles not long after the Blackbird’s last record setting cross country flight. It was parked on a pad south of the ramp that was accessible to the employee’s parking lot. I drove my pickup truck over there and walked around the ‘71 which was still radiating heat. Of course the airport police ran me off. Even so, it was a special moment!
Back in '77 or '78 while stationed at Mt. Home AFB an SR71 had declared an IFE over Kansas and our base was where they had landed to perform repairs. They parked the thing in our Red Section hangar. Somehow a few of us got permission to wander in a take a gander at it. Absolutely impressive aircraft. Sure put the old F111A to shame. When it departed half the flight line was out at the edge of runway watching it take off. The pilots put on an impromptu air show and then pointed the nose straight up and in a blink it was out of sight. Again, absolutely impressive aircraft.
the Russians and Chinese are coming into that stage of engineering now, no other way to say it, somebodies or something took it upon them-it-selves to assure this was no longer something we are gonna design engineer and build here, its more and more a crying shame, just who or what does this, cause history is kind of circular, whereby all previous civilizations of their time where at this kind of ability and accomplishment, then get knocked back never to exceed past certain levels, all thru history this pattern appears, its not happenstance thats certain.
