My boss commuted in a Jag...you'd hear the Jag, and then the blip of a siren as the cops pulled him over. He said it was almost worth paying the tickets to drive to work. He went on vacation for two weeks and a cop stopped by to see if he was OK. that was LA in the sixties.

I never understood the rationale for putting the engine inside the passenger compartment. Unless you want to spend your golden years saying "WHAT?" a lot.
yeah, and everyday would end up being a 2-3 hour "drive-about"!
